Hussingtree Gin.  Inspired in Worcestershire.

Our aim is to create distinctive premium distilled gin, inspired by the array of wonderful produce available in our home county of Worcestershire.

Hussingtree Gin is owned and run by three gin loving family members – husband and wife Richard and Elaine, and Duncan, Elaine’s son.

Our brand takes its name from the village where Elaine and Richard live – Martin Hussingtree, just north of Worcester.  The name reflects both our heritage and one of our core values – the importance of ‘local’.

From the Hussingtree name comes the ‘H’ within the stylised roundel, which is an important part of our visual branding.

Our first distilled gin is Hussingtree Juneberry Gin which is launching in July 2018, shortly followed by our distilled plum gin that will be launched in August at the Pershore Plum Festival.  Our range of gins will continue to evolve as we move through the seasons of the year.

Imagine waking up in the morning and being unable to hear the birds singing. Imagine being unable to hear your child’s first words, or your child being unable to hear you. Imagine not being able to hear your smoke alarm or doorbell – where would you turn to for help?

Deaf Direct is here to support people living locally with hearing loss. Whether it’s helping a child, a young person or an adult with hearing loss, we are here to provide support and information. Perhaps you’ve never been able to hear– or perhaps suddenly you’ve found it more difficult to hear people. Maybe you can’t hear the TV or radio as well as you used to, because you’ve lost your hearing through working in a noisy industrial environment. 1 in 6 people in the UK are living with hearing loss right now.

Whether it’s interpreting at a GP appointment, helping people to choose which equipment they need to combat deafness, tinnitus and hearing loss, or providing information to those newly diagnosed with hearing loss, we are here to help break down communication barriers and change lives. We also run summer camps to support young people with hearing loss and their families. Our services include:

• Community Outreach and Support
• Social and Support Groups
• Training
• Equipment Youth Services
• Information and Advice
• Advocacy
• Volunteering

However, we can’t do this alone and we rely on donations to help fund our activities. We already support over 6,000 people across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Oxfordshire per year, and we expect at least 900 more to need our support annually. By 2030, hearing loss will be one of the world’s most prevalent disabilities – far above conditions such as diabetes.

Deaf Direct can also support your business by providing Deaf Awareness training to improve communication between employees and customers. This is  particularly useful for businesses who have older customers who are hard of hearing or staff who need to protect their ears.
