Wednesday Club is pleased to invite you to our next event at the Diglis House Hotel in the Centre of Worcester. At this lunchtime event we will be given a talk by our guest speaker Miguel Dean. Miguel will be talking about 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People', a self-help book written by Stephen R. Covey.

Miguel Dean's brief biog:

With the early loss of my mother to cancer, life quickly became a challenge. An unhappy childhood followed at the hands of an abusive, controlling step-mother. On leaving home my low self-esteem led me into a shadowy world which included spending seven years as a New Age Traveller. At my lowest point I found myself a homeless drug addict living on the streets of Edinburgh and decided that if I did not change my ways I would soon reach the point of no return. The climb back up was slow and challenging. However over time I began to see the gifts in the adversity that I faced and how my experiences meant that I was ideally placed to help others who have faced difficulties. For ten years I worked with the homeless and disadvantaged youth before working independently as a social entrepreneur.

Miguel is giving his talk free of charge and has asked instead for Wednesday Club to make a voluntary donation towards his charity in lieu of a payment, which we are happy to do.

We have a number of spaces available for Wednesday Club Members to display pop-up stands and/or have a small table to promote their business. These spaces are available on a first come first served basis. Please email me by Monday 9 January 2012 to take advantage of this opportunity.

There will be informal networking and time to catch up on each other again after our Christmas Showcase event which was a great success. Here's an ouline of the timings and menu choices below. Hope you can make it!
